DUB PISTOLS aka Barry Ashworth [UK] : Electronica & Breakbeat Although often marketed as a group, the dance rap amalgam the Dub Pistols is truly a vehicle for leader Barry Ashworth. Ashworth's rise to the top was a long and winding one, as he got his start running local dance clubs in 1987 when he took over a night spot, "Ziggy's", in Streatham previously featuring a then-unknown DJ Paul Oakenfold. Ashworth decided it was time to launch himself as a band leader. The dance rock act Dj Vu was formed, but despite a single that caused a bit of a stir (a cover version of the Woodentops' "Why? Why? Why?"). Ashworth also began producing and remixing tracks for a variety of other artists, including renowned names such as Bush and Moby. http://www.myspace.com/thedubpistols |

After several years of playing at some of Germany's most celebrated venues and raves, he made the natural progression into production. In 1994 he released the popular underground EP Best Before End. The success saw Moguai (also now known as Dial M for Moguai) working on a host of projects with well-known dance artists, but his most fruitful collaboration proved to be with friend and fellow German DJ Phil Fuldner. The duo first made waves on the European dance scene in 1997 when Fuldner released the chart-topping single "The Final" -- a new take on the "Captain Future Hymn." And they again turned heads the following year when Moguai unleashed the hit tune "BEATBOX." He managed to get himself back to Bangkok, Thailand and lost his way but during that period, he sneaked out debut album in 2002 and also realized that Electronic music scene in Thailand is almost zero. There were not many electronic producers around plus digital download and music community on web land were coming on. The future was shaking so he decided to join SAE (School of Audio Engineering) to teach Electronic Music Production since 2002. It turned out that giving self studied knowledges on Electronic Music to students delivered him something more meaningful and he also quietly crafted his sound with years of hard living n' earning in school of Audio. In 2006 Goethe Institute in Germany had worldwide mission to discovered and connected Asian Producers with German legends Producers. Hans Nieswandt was sent by Goethe to find artists around South East Asian plate. (SAN) and he found Nannue Tipitier. It was meant to be for both of them. It has been 8 years since his time in England, finally, the new adventure took him to Germany. The origin of many classic sound pioneers and the most famous, "Kraftwerk" the band who invented new electronic music instruments and inspired many of today and tomorrow's producers, bands and artists.
